Biography

I have been serving as Associate Professor in the Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Department of IUT, a subsidiary organ of the OIC. I did a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from IUT in 2004. In 2009, I have obtained the degree of Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) with fully funded scholarship. My Master's thesis was "Numerical Analysis of Tip Leakage Flow and Shroud Heat Transfer in an Axial Gas Turbine Engine," published in four ISI indexed journals. In 2016, I also received my Ph.D. from IUT. My thesis entitled "Numerical Study of Emission Control of Urban and Rural Healthy Environment Kitchens" from which one ISI and one Copernicus were indexed. Apart from these publications, I do also have a number of international and national peer reviewed journal publications and technical publications in the international conferences. I have the expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and can efficiently handle CFD tools applicable for aerospace industry and environmental simulation. During my higher studies, I was the recipient of several awards at home and abroad.

    • CFD simulation in Thermo-Fluid applications such as Gas Turbines, Aerodynamic braking system etc.
    • Environmental Simulation such as contaminant dispersion, rural and urban kitchen emissions, sand scouring of the river bed etc.
    • Solar Energy Conversion to Mechanical and Electrical Energy,
    • Ocean wave simulation and experiment, ocean energy conversion mechanisms etc.
